About us
TradingCanyon was born out of a genuine interest in trading and through the development of algorithmic scripts to predict market price movements with a high level of accuracy.
Our team has extensive trading experience and knowledge of the financial markets with backgrounds as institutional traders, working for some of the world´s largest asset managers and pension funds, and as independent traders, professionally trading in the stock, futures, and FX markets. We also have experience in building a competitive financial product while working in the mutual and hedge fund industry.
We are passionate about developing trading indicators and using technology to increase the precision of our algorithmic trading strategies. TradingCanyon focuses on delivering attractive products to help traders and investors of all types achieve their financial goals. We have a scientific approach to trading financial products and follow principles of technology and innovation.
Our story
What we have learned over the years is primarily how difficult it can be to deliver consistent results in the markets and that it takes time to come up with profitable trading strategies. To succeed, you must first understand the need for a comprehensive trading edge. Furthermore, we believe that you have to be somewhat systematic in your process to deliver consistent returns over time.
We realized that many existing strategies and technical indicators are displayed with a relatively high lag (latency) between price movement (trend change) < and > signal generation, and the smoothing techniques used are not sufficiently adaptive to filter the signals for various types of market sentiment.
To create an edge, we started to look into using filters when analyzing non-stationary time series in real-time and how to make them as efficient as possible. We then began to explore how we could implement different techniques to improve and optimize the phase-shift induced by filters without too much expense of the smoothing quality. In the end, our goal was to develop and produce a really sharp trading tool.
Our approach
In 2019, we started to learn the basics of Pine Script (a programming language) and at the same time, we began to formulate the first algorithms to be used for the TradingView charting platform.
The algorithms have since then been developed based on digital signal processing with a focus on producing low latency, high-quality, and high probability signals. All indicators have been adjusted, monitored, and validated carefully by our team over the past 24 months. The indicators have been backtested, and we have also been using them in forward testing and live trading for a long time with strong results. Today, we are very confident in TradingCanyon´s algorithms and trading indicators, which are used by us and by many traders in the market every day.
